Surveys on which final action is undetermined, 1768-1912.

Surveys, most of which were returned in the 19th century, on which notation of final action is lacking on the cover. A thorough search of the abstract of the county in which the land was located may determine whether the land was in fact ever granted. There are thirteen plats for tracts in West Virginia which were granted by the land office of that state after 1862. The period covered is 1768; 1780; 1784-1787; 1790; 1795; 1801; 1804; 1811; 1813; 1818; 1825-1826; 1828; 1831; 1833; 1835; 1837; 1840; 1846; 1849; 1851; 1853; 1858-1865; 1867; 1869; 1873; 1875; 1877-1881; 1890; 1901-1902; 1912.
